City beautician opens salon in Wynnum
If you’ve been into the main shopping precinct in Wynnum recently you might have noticed the new beauty salon in Edith Street – Oxey Beauty Salon.
The salon is run by Manpreet Sran and opened in January this year, offering a range of treatments, especially threading, waxing, facials and tinting.
Before opening her salon in Wynnum, Manpreet worked in a beauty salon in India for 5 years and then worked at a beauty salon in the Brisbane CBD for two and a half years.
Why did she and her partner, Sunny, decide to set up their new business in Wynnum Central?
“We wanted to set up our own business,” explained Manpreet. “and having lived here in Wynnum for twelve years, realised that, although there are several nail salons, there weren’t many beauty salons here. I know from working in the CBD that many of our customers lived in the suburbs and had to travel into the city for their treatments. Now, if you live on the Bayside, you don’t have to travel into the city any more for your beauty treatments!”
Oxey Beauty Salon welcomes men as well as women clients, with a range of waxing and facial options for both sexes. All facial treatments also use herbal products.
Oxey Beauty Salon is at 5/71 Edith Street and can be contacted on 0414 265293. They are open Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, 9am-5pm on Saturdays and 10am-4pm on Sundays.
